Hello hello and even a good hello to go with that! I am Demendred of Project Weird! I love The Residents, of course, right? I pooped my way from the corporate ladder to become the best dog gone dish washer this side of the Mississippi... or was that Denver? I remember it rained there once... Hmm... So what do you produce your music on? If I were to trust my ears, I'd say those are Garageband synths, which tend to have a a lotta subtleties packed in it requiring headphones to hear without compression.
